Shawno E. May, MD

Dr. May graduated number three out of his 115 member Tulane University Medical School class in New Orleans. From there he served as a Navy Flight Surgeon in Bermuda, Spain, and Crete. He returned to complete internship and residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. He served as Chief of Surgical Services at the Naval Hospital in Puerto Rico and was subsequently elected President of the Medical Staff while serving at the Naval Hospital here in Bremerton. He joined Kitsap Eye Physicians in 2001. He is a member of the following professional organizations:

• American Academy of Ophthalmology
• American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons

Dr. May is Board Certified in General Ophthalmology. He evaluates and treats all medical diseases and conditions of the eyes including cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetes and glaucoma. He also performs plastic surgery of the eyebrow, forehead, and eyelids with excellent results.
